Tom Adie is the Associate Director of Research at Touchlight, focusing on invention, innovation, and improvement of processes and products alike. He directs translation of ideas from inception to market — from IP strategy through proof of concept to development and operational deployment — and works to establish collaborative relationships with external partners along the way. Managing a cross-functional and highly flexible team, he also pushes adoption of new technologies and development of new capabilities, with particular focus on automation and next-generation sequencing.
