Dr. Lauren Longobardi joined Evonik in 2019 and, since 2021, has been a global project manager within Evonik’s Health Care business line. In her previous position, Lauren worked as an R&D lab head, where she gained experience in chemical route scouting, process development, and scale-up manufacturing of pharmaceutical ingredients. Lauren was trained as a synthetic inorganic chemist. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Canada, where she focused on FLP small molecule activation and the synthesis of novel heterocyclic compounds. She then moved to Germany in 2017 for her postdoctoral studies at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung before starting her career at Evonik.
