Glycuron™ 2.78, a high molecular weight polysaccharide rich in uronic acid produced by biotechnology, able to enhance measurable positive image perception.
Glycuron™ 2.78 is produced by Alteromonas sp strain. This microorganism was collected in Moorea sea lagoon, associated with a sea anemone. Glycuron™ 2.78 is an exopolysacharide with very special physicochemical properties. This 4million Da sugar polymer, rich in uronic acid is liquid at 0,5% in water and is able to enhance formula sensory feeling.
Glycuron™ 2.78 glycobiological efficacy was determined thanks to the lectin-array technology, aimed to determine saccharidic patterns able to interact with cell lectins. It has been determined that Glycuron™ 2.78 was able to interact with DC-sign lectin and Rhamnose receptor, respectively involved in inflammation and dermo-epidermal regeneration.
Clinical tests run on a 1% Glycuron™ 2.78 cream versus placebo showed statistically significant results after 28 days, on hydration and a trend in favor of Glycuron™ 2.78 cream regarding skin evenness and texture.
The originality of the evaluation lies in the fact we have measured the emotional impact of the Glycuron™ 2.78 cream versus placebo.
We have used Emospin technique (Spincontrol patented technique), which uses the measurement of prosody (voice loundness and frequency) and verbatim.
This study shows that Glycuron™ 2.78 cream is able to significantly enhance SELF IMAGE perception (what would you say of yourself), and PROJECTED ALLO PERCEPTION (what do you think other think of yourself). Placebo did not generate any significant change in prosody or verbatim.
