The company has added a new office building to house 100 additional employees.
Contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Almac is adding a fourth, multimillion-dollar office building at its clinical and diagnostics services site in North Carolina. The 24,000-square-foot building will house up to 100 employees, who will be added over the next three years.
This investment comes after the company spent $5.2 million on the North Carolina location in 2016. Almac also announced in 2016 that it would be making additions at its U.S. headquarters in Souderton, Pennsylvania and leasing office space in Landsdale, PA, adding 312 jobs at a total cost of $25 million. In 2017, the company acquired Ireland-based BioClin Laboratories to expand its analytical capacity and capabilities.
