Conversations about community and accessibility in Florida on Day 40
Florida was certainly not The Sunshine State on the morning of Day 40 on The Road to 50 States. The team woke and headed to Delray Beach in the pouring rain. They were just yards from the beach as they interviewed Jeanne Thoma, a long-time executive in the life sciences industry with a wealth of leadership experience at numerous large companies. It may not have been a beach day, but it's always a good day to talk about the next wave of pharma innovation. After this, the team began to head north again and enjoyed a special invitation to visit the magnificent Masjid Al Hayy Mosque near Orlando, which was built by Gulam Jaffer's family, the founder and President of Yourway, as a place to bring the greater community together, and a means to give back. That brought a tranquil end to the team's two days in Florida, and Albert had to put some serious charge in the Tesla to make yet another late night charge for the next state. They rolled into Atlanta, Georgia in the early hours of the morning again, but would have the benefit of some much-needed rest as Day 41 did not require an early start.
