Fixin to hear Tennessee views on future fixes for health
Tennessee's nickname of The Volunteer State dates back to the War of 1812 and Tennesseans have evidently always been up for a battle and helping others. This was evident on Day 37 of The Road to 50 States with four interviewees talking about how the next big thing in pharma could be taking the battle to cancer and other serious needs. The team got to meet with representatives of Amytrx Therapeutics, Gibson Oncology, and Commercial Healthcare Partners in Tennessee, then headed on to Alabama where they got in a fourth interview at TriRx Pharmaceutical Services in Huntsville. This was some tremendously valuable insight but it didn't leave much time for anything else, especially as there was over 300 miles of driving to do between the start in Nashville and the next overnight stop in Birmingham, Alabama. The weather didn't cooperate either, as the driving was marred by heavy rain and even lighting at various points. The team has done well with weather for most of the trip, but not today Jolene.
