SoCal so cool – locking the keys in the car, not so cool
Sun, palm trees, biotechnology. It can only mean one thing – Southern California. Yes, the Road to 50 States team was halfway through its time in the Golden State, and Day 23 would see them go from Los Angeles to San Diego in their quest to complete three more interviews with Life Science leaders. As they wound their way down from La La Land to the City in Motion, they visited Avid Bioservices in Tustin, Orange County, Argonaut Manufacturing Services in Carlsbad, and Roswell Biotechnologies in San Diego. They took a couple of final opportunities to dip their toes – or Christian Louboutin shoes – in the west coast sand before they moved on. The end of the day involved a run to Nevada and the bright lights and felt tables of Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the team in the Lamborghini bet on Nigel having the keys in his pocket at a gas stop, but he somehow locked them in the car – along with everyone's belongings, but none of the crew themselves. After a nervous wait like a high stakes roulette player, a man called Eddie came and solved the problem, and they were on their way from his cardinal sin to Sin City.
