50th State is our 25th and it's aloha to Paradise in the Pacific
Day 20 on The Road to 50 States is the second of the unusual breakout ones as the cars remain in Washington and alternative transport is the order of the day. Nigel and Lucas flew directly from Anchorage, Alaska to Honolulu on the island of Oahu. So, they woke to a tropical paradise, secretly hoping that it was raining on the rest of the crew, who were taking the chrome mobile from Seattle to Portland, Oregon, where they will all rendezvous. So it was another whistlestop tour around a fraction of a state, but this time a much warmer one, which is why they decided to dip their toes in the ocean. Nobody knows why Lucas kept his shoes on. Before it was time to return to the airport, they paid a visit to historical client and friend, Charlie Guthrie, who has spent his career in product design and talked about trends in sustainable materials. Having enjoyed the best views of the states so far, the intrepid pair boarded the flight to rejoin the rest of the crew for Day 21.
